Metro Nashville Public Schools All Virtual on Monday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (February 21, 2021) – Metro Nashville Public Schools will be open all virtually on Monday, February 22, due to continued hazardous road conditions. This means attendance will be taken, and all students, whether they would normally report to school in person or virtually, should log in and prepare for a full day of learning remotely.

5th and 9th grade students will be learning asynchronously to give staff time to prepare for their return to in-person learning on Tuesday, if they chose that option. Our in-person phase-in schedule will remain the same.

In-person after-school activities, performances, and meetings are cancelled. Decisions about district tournament games will be communicated tomorrow.

YMCA Fun Co. will offer no-cost childcare from 7:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at the following locations:

  • Buena Vista Elementary School
  • Gra Mar Middle School
  • Stanford Montessori
  • Andrew Jackson Elementary
  • Carter-Lawrence Elementary
  • Gower Elementary
  • Crieve Hall Elementary

Registration is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Please visit https://ymcafunco.org/essential-worker-care to register.

District offices will be open and 12-month employees, transportation staff, and nutrition services staff will report as normal, but we urge individuals to use their best discretion based on their individual situations
