Next Round of Grants Open to Support Violence Reduction Efforts

NASHVILLE – Mayor John Cooper has announced another round of grants has opened to support organizations serving residents within Nashville’s Napier Place and Sudekum communities. Eligible nonprofits can fill out the initial form and apply for $5,000 or more as Metro Nashville disburses to $200,000 from the federal American Rescue Plan.

“Public safety requires strong partnerships,” said Mayor Cooper. “This is a chance to work with residents, nonprofits, and MDHA to expand services and help neighborhood residents. I’m grateful to the Napier Place and Sudekum working group, the resident association leaders, and all the groups working in the area.”

The mayor’s Community Safety Partnership Advisory Board will make grant award recommendations and work alongside Nashville’s first Community Safety Coordinator, Ron Johnson.
