Music, Music, Music!!

The month of November seems to be filled with music and good vibes. Nashville will host a featured event for The Color of Music Festival, also this month is the Country Music Awards also here in Nashville.

The Colour of Music Festival announced the Nashville, TN début of Colour of Music Festival ‘Petit’ November 6-9, 2019 at multiple noted venues throughout downtown Nashville, a five-day festival featuring black classical artists and scholars from France, Britain, Colombia, the Caribbean, and the United States performing organ, piano, vocal, chamber and orchestral works showcasing the impact and historical significance of black classical composers and performers on American and world culture.

According to their website ‘the Colour of Music Festival has brought classically trained black musicians together to offer the public an opportunity to experience the talent of prodigiously gifted classical principals, composers, and performers of African descent share their musical talents, knowledge, and inspiration’ since 2013.

Also the 53rd Annual CMA Awards, is right around the corner. The annual award show is set to take place on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 8 P.M., with Carrie Underwood returning as one of the host for the 12th year in a row. Joining Underwood will be country music legends Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton.

Underwood talked with Taste of Country about her upcoming hosting with Parton and McEntire, “It does not get bigger than that or better than that.” “I feel like the three of us love what we do so much, and we love country music, and it means something, I feel like, to have us up there on that stage kind of driving the bus for the evening and setting the tone.”
