Women’s Month officially kicked off in Nashville this past weekend when a successful Woman owned business drew hundreds of people for their food pop up.

Slutty Vegan, an extremely popular black owned restaurant out of Atlanta, was started in July 2018 by Aisha “Pinky” Cole. The Clark Atlanta alum and member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. started making food in her two-bedroom apartment selling vegan signature burgers fresh to order via Instagram. In a few weeks she started a mobile food truck. Then by October 2018, she launched her first Slutty Vegan restaurant location in Atlanta’s West End. Fast forward to today she has multiple locations throughout Atlanta and recently opened a new location in Birmingham, Alabama.

But what about that crazy name? Well in an interview with Forbes, Cole explained how she came up with the ear-catching name. “A Slutty Vegan, to my mind, is someone who eats vegan but enjoys junk food—as long as it’s not dead. I knew the name would be a great hook to help people to reimagine food. What I didn’t know was how much of an impact it would make.”

Over the weekend, I was pleasantly surprised when I received a text alert from the famous plant-based vegan restaurant Slutty Vegan. It announced there was a pop-up coming to Nashville.

At that moment, I smiled and was ready to go to Coneheads to get my Slutty Vegan fix. I am a loyal Slutty Vegan fan, however all their food will leave your  mouth watering’ for more and wanting to make regular trips to Atlanta if you appreciate flavorful, healthy and special TLC in your food.

As I scanned the parking lot, one thing was evident Nashvillians knew about Slutty Vegan or had heard they were in town.

Darius Partridge, Senior Director of Operations at Slutty Vegan ATL, was in attendance leading the event and he was impressed with the full attendance and line.

Clifton Myah, a Dallas transplant said, “This food was fantastic. My friend told me about this pop-up event. It was literally my first time eating vegan food. I tried the “One Night Stand” burger and seasoned fries with Slut dust.” She continued, “man it really surprised me because I thought I would be ordering more food somewhere else. I definitely will be visiting the Atlanta location.”

Toni Lewis-Noble Certified Nutritional Coach and personal trainer shared,” It was so good. And definitely worth the wait!”

The menu options and favorites are endless at Slutty V. The most popular items on the menu of course are the: One Night Stand, Hollywood Hooker, Sloppy Toppy, Slutty Fries, and Sweet Potato. The Slutty Slushies are amazing as well.

This food is so addictive and you will not have to be vegan to appreciate it. It definitely touches the Soul.

Nashville came out and showed love and as a result they sold out of everything!   I definitely give them 5 stars *****. I highly recommend you go visit their locations in Georgia or Alabama.
