MNPS opens optional schools application window for 2021-2022 school year on Monday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 22, 2021) – The optional schools application process for the 2021-2022 school year for Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) starts Monday, January 25, providing families in Nashville the opportunity to choose between 159 open enrollment public schools available to them throughout the school district.

“We know that for most of our parents and students, our great neighborhood schools are the best option for them,” Director of Schools Adrienne Battle said. “For those who may be looking for additional options, we offer families some great choices to meet the unique individual needs of their students.”

Applications are available online in English, Spanish, Arabic, Burmese, Kurdish and Nepali at www.mnps.org/apply. Applying online is the preferred and simplest option. However, applications may be mailed to Office of School Options at 2601 Bransford Avenue, Nashville, TN 37204.

Important Application Deadlines:

  • Monday, Jan. 25, 2021: Applications open online at www.mnps.org/apply. Printed applications will be available at schools, enrollment centers and the Family Information Center.
  • Friday, Feb. 12, 2021: Applications must be submitted in person by 4:30 p.m. CST or submitted online by 11:59 p.m. CST. Applications received by this deadline will be part of the random selection process on the first Selection Day.
  • Monday, March 8, 2021: Selection Day results will be available online at www.mnps.org/school-options.
