The Nashville Black Professionals Social Networking Group (NBPSNG) offers various monthly networking mixers in a relaxed laid-back social setting which allows professionals to talk about business while connecting on a social level. For those who have never been to one of their mixers, they started in November of 2015 providing monthly networking mixers for professionals in Nashville. NBPSNG aims to connect professionals in a more relaxed setting than the traditional business networking setup.

During the evening together, the discussion is family mythologies, possible anxiety about unknown ancestry, and the nature of being a black American in this modern era. Together you take the 23andMe ancestry test to see what we can uncover about our heritage.
Then you will also contribute to a neighborhood family tree. Each person will have a canvas panel with a sketch of the tree. Artist Destiney Powell will guide the painting and add to individual pieces. When everyone is done the canvases will be arranged and the large tree will show the connection.
